Foglia Tonda – Tuscan IGT Red Wine
An ancient grape rediscovered
Foglia Tonda is one of the oldest traditional Tuscan grape varieties, forgotten for decades and now brought back to life by those who care about biodiversity and territorial identity. Its name comes from the perfectly rounded shape of its leaves — a botanical detail that tells its story. This wine, made entirely from Foglia Tonda grapes, is the symbol of cultural and agricultural recovery that looks to the past to express the present.
In the vineyard: respect and authenticity
The grapes come from young, five-year-old vines trained in spurred cordon with a planting density of 4,800 vines per hectare. The cultivation is certified organic, following clean and respectful farming practices. Harvest takes place between late September and early October with careful manual selection of bunches to ensure quality and integrity.
In the cellar: essential winemaking
Vinification is carried out entirely in stainless steel, with minimal intervention to preserve the grape’s varietal character. No wood is used — only time and steel. The wine ferments and matures naturally, and is bottled with natural cork for a traditional, sustainable closure.
A sip of Tuscan identity
Garnet red with violet highlights, the nose opens with intense violet and geranium aromas. On the palate, it is dry, full and structured, with the vibrant personality of the variety and a clean balance. Ideal with Tuscan cuisine — cured meats, red meats — but also lovely on its own for those who want to explore an ancient native voice.

A peasant rebirth in the heart of Fucecchio
It was in 2005 that Giulio and Lapo decided to revive several abandoned vineyards in the Fucecchio area, in the heart of Tuscany. Many of these plots had been left behind by elderly farmers, due to age and the low profitability of viticulture. With the help of 14 local elders, they were able to rescue native grape varieties and bring dignity back to forgotten land. This is how Dalle Nostre Mani was born—a project rooted in the agricultural memory of the territory and interpreted with courage and authenticity.
Farming with respect for the soil’s memory
The vineyard philosophy is based on a deeply organic approach, aimed at restoring a natural balance between the vines and their surroundings. All work is done manually, guided by lunar cycles and with no synthetic chemicals. Traditional farming methods are embraced: each vine is observed, understood, and gently assisted. Biodiversity is preserved, the land is respected, and interventions are minimal and never invasive. Farming becomes a practice of wisdom, patience, and attentiveness.
Wine that is alive, honest, and natural
In the cellar, the same principles guide every process. Fermentations occur naturally using native yeasts, and the wines are neither fined nor filtered. Human intervention is kept to a minimum to preserve the grapes’ natural expression. No chemical adjustments, no standardization—each vintage tells a different story, each bottle captures a unique moment. Wine is treated as a living organism, carefully guided but never forced.
Craftsmanship and tradition in every bottle
The style of Dalle Nostre Mani is unmistakably artisanal, local, and authentic. Each bottle is a piece of collective memory, the result of slow and thoughtful winemaking. Giulio and Lapo believe wine should express not just terroir, but also the people and gestures behind it. This is why each cuvée embodies the soul of Tuscan vineyards and brings to life the taste of a resilient, rural Tuscany.
