Rosè Label 2021 – Granja Farm
Overview
Rosè Label 2021 embodies the essence of the Piedmontese mountains: pure, essential, and free. This natural rosé from Granja Farm is born among the rocky terraces of Val di Susa, where ancient vines cling to stone walls and are farmed with respect and resilience.
Produced without added sulfites or industrial intervention, it’s a wine that reflects the landscape and spirit of resistance of its makers — farmers who see winemaking as a political act of love for the land.
Origin and Philosophy
Granja Farm is a small organic estate that practices sustainable farming and self-sufficiency in the harsh alpine environment of Chiomonte. The vineyards lie within the controversial “TAV red zone”, a site threatened by industrial development. Here, everything is done by hand, without herbicides or chemical fertilizers.
The farmers of Granja Farm revive ancient agricultural knowledge, passed down by the elders of the valley. Each bottle is a declaration of independence — an ode to the earth and to the people who defend it.
Winemaking and Ageing
The grapes — Avanà, Neretta, Pelaverga, Barbarou and Bequet — are hand-picked and gently pressed after a short decantation. Fermentation occurs naturally in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, without the addition of sulfites or other additives.
The wine then matures on its fine lees for several months, gaining texture and aromatic complexity. No filtration, no fining, just time and patience to let nature express itself fully.
Tasting Notes
Pale copper-rose in color, bright and luminous. The bouquet is refined and complex, offering notes of wild strawberry, pomegranate, rose petals, citrus zest and wet stone.
On the palate, it’s vibrant and precise, with mountain freshness and a fine mineral tension that lengthens the finish. Dry yet supple, Rosè Label 2021 is a rosé of depth and purity — elegant, delicate, and distinctly alpine.
Food Pairing and Service
Perfect with flavorful seafood dishes, sushi, trout, or goat cheeses. It also complements vegetable-based cuisine and spicy Asian dishes.
Serve at 12–14°C to enjoy its balance between freshness and aromatic intensity. An excellent summer companion, meditative and sincere.

History and Geographical Context
Granja Farm was founded in 2015 in Chiomonte (Turin), in the heart of the Alta Val di Susa, by a group of people determined to care for a rugged territory at risk of destruction in the name of progress. The project began by reclaiming abandoned lands, vineyards, meadows, and gardens to produce healthy and genuine food responsibly. The Susa Valley, located west of Turin, has always been a natural route to France — from Roman times to Hannibal — and today it has tragically become a dangerous passage for migrants crossing the mountains.
Philosophy and Production Principles
The philosophy of Granja Farm is rooted in sustainability and the preservation of rural memory. The farm cultivates ancient native grape varieties on centuries-old stone terraces nestled into the mountainside, practicing agriculture without pesticides or herbicides. Every task respects the natural cycles of the land, guided by the wisdom of local elders — the last keepers of an immense agricultural heritage. For Granja Farm, farming is a political act of resistance, opposing a system that exploits both people and nature for profit.
Production and Farm Management
Beyond viticulture, Granja Farm embraces a holistic approach that includes beekeeping, goat herding, horses, and poultry, all managed through sustainable and self-sufficient practices. The main vineyards and cellar lie within the red zone of the TAV (Turin–Lyon) construction site, yet determination and perseverance have allowed them to continue producing uncontaminated fruit. The farm stands as a symbol of environmental and cultural resilience, protecting seeds, stories, and agricultural traditions handed down through generations.
Vision and Future
Granja Farm strongly rejects GMOs, TEA, and NBT/NGT technologies, defending the biodiversity and genetic heritage of its land. Its goal is to safeguard natural food production and autonomy, cultivating the earth with respect, awareness, and responsibility. Every bottle, every jar, and every product tells the story of a living resistance — a commitment to a more sustainable and conscious future.
