Nu 2024 – Gian Luca Colombo
Overview
The Nu 2024 by Gian Luca Colombo is a masterful blend of Barbera, Nebbiolo, Pinot Nero, and Dolcetto, expressing freshness, succulence, and drinkability. Each grape is carefully managed separately in the vineyard and in the cellar, then blended in spring to create a wine that conveys harmony, energy, and the essence of the Langhe hills. Nu 2024 is vibrant, approachable, and immediately enjoyable, with a clear focus on fruit purity and elegance.
History of the wine
Nu is the result of Colombo’s meticulous approach to blending multiple grape varieties. Each component is vinified and aged separately, and only the best lots are selected for the final blend. This method allows every grape to shine while maintaining the overall balance and personality of the wine. The result is a youthful and lively wine with complexity, freshness, and dynamic structure, perfect for convivial moments.
Vineyard philosophy and cellar approach
The vineyards are managed with biodiversity and soil health in mind, following Colombo’s sustainable practices. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel, with maceration lasting 20–50 days depending on the vintage. Aging takes place in large Austrian oak casks, used tonneaux, and ceramic vessels, ensuring elegance without compromising fruit freshness. Bottled in a 1-liter bottle with crown cap, Nu 2024 emphasizes conviviality and ease of enjoyment.

Fermentations are guided with minimal intervention, ensuring that the varietal and the terroir remain at the center of the wine’s identity. The goal is harmony: wines that reflect Langhe’s history with modern clarity and authenticity. Each bottle captures balance, finesse, and a sense of place that defines the Colombo style.
