Meursault 1er Cru Les Genevrières 2010 – François Mikulski
Mineral precision and depth in a truly classic vintage
Vineyard philosophy
Les Genevrières is one of the most renowned premier crus in Meursault, offering wines with refinement, tension and structure. François Mikulski tends his vines organically (not certified), practicing minimal intervention to preserve the natural balance of the vineyard. The 2010 vintage was marked by a cool summer and sunny September, which allowed for slow, even ripening, resulting in concentrated, aromatic fruit with vibrant acidity.
Winemaking approach
The wine ferments spontaneously in Burgundian oak barrels (about 20% new) and matures for 12 months on the lees, followed by 6 months in stainless steel. Mikulski aims for clarity and terroir expression, crafting whites with tension, precision, and age-worthy structure.
Tasting notes
Bright golden yellow with pale green reflections.
Aromas of candied citrus peel, white flowers, wet stone, and toasted almond.
On the palate, it’s vibrant, layered, with firm acidity, minerality and a persistent, saline finish.

Domaine François Mikulski
Natural elegance and Burgundian precision in Meursault
Located in the heart of Meursault, Domaine François Mikulski has become one of the most respected and sought-after names in the Côte de Beaune. Founded in the early 1990s, the domaine reflects François Mikulski’s personal vision—rooted in discretion, perfectionism, and a deep reverence for Burgundian terroir.
A vineyard philosophy that listens to the land
In Mikulski’s vineyards, every action is guided by a single principle: respect for the living soil and the unique voice of each parcel. The estate’s vines—spread across Meursault, Puligny, Volnay, Pommard, and Monthélie—are farmed using organic practices (not certified by choice), with light touch vineyard work, minimal copper, and an obsessive attention to vine health. The goal is never to force, but to accompany—François and his son Jules observe and adapt, always letting nature lead.
In the cellar: discipline and restraint
The winemaking is a natural extension of the vineyard work: discreet, focused, and minimalist. Fermentations are spontaneous, bâtonnage is rare, and new oak is used judiciously—rarely more than 20%. Each lieu-dit is vinified separately to preserve its identity. The resulting wines are models of clarity, freshness, verticality, and precision, never chasing opulence, but rewarding those who appreciate finesse.
