Gewurztraminer “Les Pucelles” 2021 – Julien Meyer
A Gewurztraminer of rare intensity between spice and freshness
“Les Pucelles” 2021 by Julien Meyer is a handcrafted white wine from vineyards located in the prestigious terroirs of Zellberg and Fronholz, in Alsace. The silty and clay-limestone soils give it remarkable aromatic depth and structure. Made with a natural and minimal-intervention approach, it fully expresses the terroir’s identity and the estate’s biodynamic philosophy.
Vineyard and cellar: natural rigour, authentic character
The vineyard is managed with full respect for biodiversity and natural rhythms, without any synthetic chemicals. In the cellar, a gentle extraction is carried out through skin maceration, letting spontaneous microbial activity enrich the wine with complexity and stability. This Gewurztraminer is made without shortcuts or filtration: a pure translation of its origin.
Bright golden yellow.
On the nose: intense aromas of oriental spices, dried flowers, and aromatic herbs.
On the palate: full-bodied and vibrant, driven by zesty citrus acidity, with a savoury, persistent finish.
Versatile and gastronomic
Perfect at the table, it pairs beautifully with spicy Asian dishes, blue or washed-rind cheeses, pumpkin-based preparations, white meats, and rich seafood. Structured enough for more complex recipes. Excellent today, with ageing potential of 5–7 years.

Domaine Meyer – Julien and Patrick Meyer
Family Roots and Viticultural Continuity
The story of Domaine Meyer begins with Julien Meyer, a passionate winemaker in Alsace. Upon his passing, his son Patrick Meyer inherited the vineyards and the family tradition. Interestingly, Patrick initially returned to conventional farming before committing fully to natural, chemical-free, and holistic viticulture, building upon and evolving his father’s legacy.
A Conscious Transformation
Patrick’s dual shift—first toward traditional methods, then fully into natural winemaking—marks a rare and thoughtful path in the world of natural wine. His work reflects a commitment to soil health, vine vitality, and the authentic expression of grape and place. Every choice in the vineyard and cellar is guided by respect for ecological balance and varietal purity.
Experimental Yet Deeply Authentic Wines
Domaine Meyer’s wines are known for their bold expressiveness. Labels like LouLou, Pinot Gris Maceration, and Riesling Grand Cru Muenchberg are surprising and memorable. Each bottle showcases Alsatian identity with both raw honesty and stylistic freedom—wines that break conventions while remaining true to their roots.
Philosophy and Impact
For Patrick, wine is a tool to narrate the land, the seasons, and the deeply Alsatian landscape. His work is craft-based, observational, and low-intervention, with no added sulfites or chemicals. It’s a philosophy for those who seek transparent, emotional, and living wines, produced with consistency and a strong sense of familial memory.
