Digrigno 2020 – Tenuta l’Armonia LAB
A Grignolino beyond the rules
Digrigno 2020 was born from a pruning-focused project in Monferrato, which evolved into a deeper collaboration between Tenuta l’Armonia LAB and the vineyards of Cascina Gasparda. This wine challenges preconceptions around Grignolino, using radical techniques and minimal extraction to highlight finesse, tension, and precision. Its name is a playful nod to the word “grin”—pointing to its sharp and expressive personality.
Monferrato soils and native identity
The grapes are grown in Asotom (AL) on calcareous-clay soils, from vines aged 25–30 years. The viticulture is manual and organic in spirit, focused on preserving soil life and grape integrity. The Grignolino variety, often overlooked, finds in this site a strong identity, shaped by low yields and careful picking. The vineyard speaks, and the winemaker listens with minimal interference.
Stainless steel vinification and light touch
10% of the grapes are left whole with stems, while the rest are destemmed. In stainless steel tanks, the whole clusters are placed beneath the destemmed fruit, creating soft carbonic pressure. A brief 5-day maceration keeps the tannins fine and the profile bright. The wine then matures for 10 months in oak vats, giving it structure without masking the varietal purity. No filtration is applied.
Tasting notes
Color: Pale ruby with orange edges, brilliant and transparent.
Nose: Rosehip, blood orange zest, white pepper, and crushed rock.
Palate: Bright, dry, spicy, with well-integrated tannin and a clean, vertical finish.
Pairings and mood
Digrigno pairs beautifully with light, savory dishes: lentil stews, soft cheeses, cured meats, or earthy vegetarian cuisine. Serve slightly chilled at 14–16°C. It’s a wine for those who enjoy precision and crunch in red wines.

Tenuta l’Armonia – History
The story of Tenuta l’Armonia began in 2010 on the volcanic hills of Vicenza, in Contrà Scaranto. Founded by Andrea Pedrin, a self-taught “Wine Chef” trained between France and Italy, the winery was born from the desire to unite agriculture, culture, and creativity. From the start, Andrea focused on native grape varieties grown on volcanic soils, aiming to express each terroir through unique blends and cuvées. A young and dynamic team supports him, helping shape an evolving approach that combines local tradition and innovation.
Vineyard Philosophy
Tenuta l’Armonia practices organic and regenerative agriculture, completely free of synthetic chemicals. Some vines are up to 35–40 years old and grow on three distinct types of volcanic soil. Native grape varieties are at the core of the project, enhancing the authenticity of each wine. In the vineyard, all interventions respect natural rhythms and promote harmony between soil and plant. This sustainable vision ensures the long-term health of the vines and the expressive character of the wines.
Winemaking Approach
In the cellar, Tenuta l’Armonia follows a fully artisanal and natural approach. No selected yeasts, fining agents, or stabilizers are used. Sulfites are kept to a minimum and only added when absolutely necessary. The winemaking process is designed to preserve energy, freshness, and balance. The winery experiments with different vessels—amphorae, large barrels, concrete tanks, and wood—to achieve expressive, site-driven wines. Each vintage is handled differently to reflect the uniqueness of the season and the vineyard.
Vision & Territory
The volcanic soils of Montecchio Maggiore offer rare geological features that profoundly shape the vines and the wines. Tenuta l’Armonia seeks to express this uniqueness by working closely with native grapes and allowing the territory to speak for itself. Andrea has also developed an integrated agricultural project, which includes 10 hectares of olive groves and vegetable gardens. The estate regularly hosts workshops that connect gastronomy, wine, and artisanal farming. Living “in harmony” here means creating social, cultural, and environmental value through wine.
