Coteaux de l’Ardèche Syrah 2022
A pure Syrah from the Ardèche
This 100% Syrah comes from Valvignères, in the heart of the Ardèche, where clay-limestone soils lend freshness and structure. The vineyard is farmed biodynamically, with great care for the soil’s vitality and the balance of the ecosystem. Harvested at full ripeness, the grapes reflect the purest expression of this preserved corner of southern France.
Natural vinification, essential ageing
In the cellar, the winemaking is deliberately minimal: fermentation happens spontaneously in stainless steel tanks with only indigenous yeasts. No sulphur is added during vinification; only 1 mg/l at bottling, after at least six months of bottle ageing. The result is a sincere, vibrant Syrah that speaks of the Ardèche in every sip.
Colour: Bright ruby red with violet hues.
Nose: Intense notes of violet, ripe blackcurrant and freshly ground black pepper.
Palate: Easy-drinking, medium-bodied, with gentle tannins and a rounded finish.

Domaine de Vigneaux
A family story in the Ardèche
Domaine de Vigneaux is nestled in the heart of the Ardèche, a wild and unspoiled region of southern France. Run by a family of dedicated winegrowers for generations, the Domaine embodies a deeply rooted peasant tradition and a strong bond with the surrounding landscape. Clay-limestone soils, scattered pebbles and a sunny yet breezy climate give the vineyards a unique character that shapes each wine.
Philosophy in the vineyard
Every decision in the vineyard follows the principles of biodynamic farming. No chemical shortcuts, only careful work to keep the soil alive and balanced. Cover crops, compost and biodynamic preparations nourish the vines, while hedgerows and wildflowers encourage biodiversity. The aim is to harvest healthy, vibrant grapes that truthfully express each vintage and the unique Ardèche terroir.
A respectful approach in the cellar
In the cellar, the same philosophy continues. Fermentations are spontaneous, triggered by native yeasts naturally present on the grapes. No harsh fining or aggressive filtration: each wine is gently guided to reveal its true character. Sulphur use is kept to an absolute minimum, just enough to preserve the wine’s natural vitality. The result is a range of authentic, lively cuvées, sometimes rustic, always honest, that capture the wild soul of the Ardèche.
