Cos Nero di Lupo 2022

Nero di Lupo is a red wine produced by Azienda Agricola Cos in Vittoria, Sicily, and obtained from pure Nero d’Avola. The grapes come from rich red soils rich in limestone, after manual harvesting they are destemmed and left to ferment spontaneously with native yeasts in cement, here they refine further for a few months before bottling with a homeopathic addition of sulfur dioxide. Nero di Lupo is a wine of great finesse that pairs well with mature cheeses. It is floral and fruity on the nose with hints of cherry and plum, iodine and balsamic notes, in the mouth it is fresh and slender, tasty and easy to drink

Did you know that COS is the acronym of the initials of the names of the three founders of the company?

They are Titta Cilia, Giusto Occhipinti, Cirino Strano and they gave birth to COS in 1980.

The three inherited (for rent) the old family cellar of Giuseppe Cilia, father of Titta and vineyard.

In these 30 years of experience they have revolutionized Cerasuolo di Vittoria.

They profess the Biodionic “faith” and minimal intervention in the vineyard.

Theirs is also very interesting with the Spanish amphorae purchased now, 20 years ago
