Agrapart & Fils’ Complantée Champagne
A pure expression of the Côte des Blancs: the perfect balance between freshness and complexity.
Agrapart & Fils’ Complantée Champagne is a true reflection of the finest terroirs of the Côte des Blancs. This Blanc de Blancs cuvée comes primarily from Avize and Cramant, two of the most renowned Grand Cru villages in the region. Thanks to traditional winemaking techniques, indigenous yeasts, and a long maturation on the lees, Complantée stands out for its freshness, mineral elegance, and extraordinary complexity that evolves with time.
Agrapart’s Philosophy: Tradition and Innovation
A Natural Approach and Respect for the Terroir
Agrapart & Fils adopts a philosophy that celebrates the purity of the terroir and its most authentic expression. The Complantée Champagne is crafted with meticulous care, using agrobiological practices (without official certification). Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts, and the wine undergoes a long maturation on the lees in small oak barrels, allowing the wine to express its true minerality without interference from external additives.
Organoleptic Characteristics of Complantée
A Refined and Complex Champagne
Complantée by Agrapart is a wine that perfectly blends freshness with complexity, showcasing the ideal harmony of the terroir.
Color
It has a brilliant golden yellow hue, with a fine and persistent perlage, a symbol of its quality and long maturation on the lees.
Nose
The bouquet is broad and complex, with notes of fresh fruit, citrus, and a subtle hint of white flowers. There are also bread crust aromas and a slight trace of hazelnuts, indicative of the lees aging.
Palate
On the palate, Complantée is fresh, mineral, and structured. The verticality typical of Blanc de Blancs is beautifully balanced by a delicate creamy texture, with a long and persistent finish, offering a clean and fresh sensation with hints of light spices and a slightly saline aftertaste.
Food Pairings
The Complantée Champagne is perfect for pairing with delicate yet refined dishes. Thanks to its minerality and freshness, it pairs beautifully with:
Fresh oysters or seafood dishes
Seafood risotto or with delicate vegetables
White fish steamed or grilled
Fresh cheeses like chèvre or young Comté
White meat dishes such as lemon chicken or rosemary capon

Maison Agrapart & Fils
Artisanal Elegance from the Heart of the Côte des Blancs
Located in Avize, in the prestigious Côte des Blancs, Agrapart & Fils is one of Champagne’s most respected grower-producers. Founded in 1894, this family-run domaine has earned a stellar reputation for crafting pure, mineral-driven Blanc de Blancs that speak directly of their terroir. Authenticity, transparency, and precision are at the core of their philosophy.
A Natural Philosophy Rooted in Terroir
Honest, low-intervention farming
Agrapart farms 12 hectares of vineyards, nearly all classified as Grand Cru, in Avize, Cramant, Oger, and Oiry. The estate follows an agrobiological approach—eschewing certification in favor of real, responsible viticulture that prioritizes soil health and natural balance.
No herbicides or chemical fertilizers are used. Some plots are even worked by horse, notably the parcel for their singular Vénus cuvée, to avoid compacting the soil.
Winemaking: Precision and Patience
All fermentations use wild native yeasts, usually in neutral oak barrels. Each vineyard parcel is vinified separately to preserve identity and nuance. Wines are never filtered or fined, and aging on lees is long, often exceeding three years, giving texture and depth without losing vibrancy.
The Agrapart Signature: Chalk, Energy, and Elegance
Vertical, mineral Champagne with personality
Agrapart Champagnes are dry, expressive, and terroir-driven. The house style favors low dosage, often Brut Nature or Extra Brut, allowing the chalky soils of the Côte des Blancs to shine through. These are wines with tension, finesse, and age-worthiness, crafted for purists who seek truth in the glass.
Iconic Cuvées
Terroirs: Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru – clean, salty, precise
Minéral: from Avize & Cramant – no dosage, focused and stony
Avizoise: old vines in Avize – textured, dense, and complex
Vénus: from a horse-plowed biodynamic parcel – pure, vibrant elegance
