Villa Papiano is a winery located in Modigliana, on the border between Romagna and Tuscany close to the Ibola river valley, a stone’s throw from the Foreste Casentinesi National Park.
This area is the home of Sangiovese di Romagna, the vineyards are located in the woods and the climate is decidedly cool.
Villa Papiano is a 1400s palace which houses the production of the famous Bordini family, characterized by vertical wines and great aging potential.
The company is run by 4 brothers who share the main tasks, they are sons of art, the father is Remigio Bordini, an agronomist nicknamed by everyone the Doctor, one of the greatest experts in Italy on the subject of Sangiovese.
Villa Papiano has been certified organic since 2009 and the first harvest dates back to 2001
