Its natural drinkability and the producer’s signature spicy profile make it both approachable and characterful. Today, Tandem Rosso 2023 stands among the most convincing expressions of Moroccan Syrah, combining territorial identity and European finesse. Contains sulfites.
Wine History
The Tandem project symbolizes the partnership between Alain Graillot and the Thalvin group, merging Northern Rhône tradition with the distinctiveness of the Moroccan terroir. Over time, this Syrah has gained international appreciation for its refined spiciness and surprising ease of drinking. The 2023 vintage continues this path, benefiting from the favorable climate of Zenata to deliver a mature, expressive, and territorial profile. The founding philosophy remains unchanged: to create an honest, authentic Syrah respectful of nature.
Vineyard Philosophy
The Syrah grapes for Tandem Rosso 2023 grow between Casablanca and Rabat, where red clay soils and oceanic influence ensure slow and aromatic ripening. Vineyard management follows a biological and artisanal approach without herbicides or pesticides, promoting biodiversity and soil vitality. Harvesting is entirely manual, selecting only the best grapes to preserve purity and integrity. The goal is to obtain healthy, vibrant fruit that translates into a balanced and natural wine.
Winemaking Approach
Tandem Rosso 2023 is crafted to preserve freshness, clarity, and juiciness. Fermentation takes place in cement tanks, ensuring gentle extraction and steady micro-oxygenation. Ageing continues for several months in cement and used French oak barrels, maintaining fruit purity without overwhelming the aromatic profile. The choice of 100% Syrah enhances spice, succulence, and the exotic touch typical of the Zenata region. Each stage is carried out with artisanal attention and precision.

Thalvin-Graillot: Excellence in Winemaking Between Casablanca and Rabat
The History of Thalvin-Graillot
In the fascinating winegrowing landscape of Benslimane, Morocco, Thalvin-Graillot was founded in 2005 and quickly became a benchmark in the local wine scene. Moroccan viticulture has long been a strategic resource, especially for France after the phylloxera crisis. Although decolonization triggered a period of decline, the region’s natural characteristics preserved its strong qualitative potential. The joint venture between the Thalvin-Ebertec group, owners of the historic Domaine des Ouled Thaleb, and Alain Graillot, a renowned producer from France’s Northern Rhône, established a project rooted in tradition yet shaped by a modern vision aimed at enhancing Morocco’s terroir.
Vineyard Philosophy
The vineyards of Thalvin-Graillot stretch across the Zenata region, between Casablanca and Rabat, around 40 kilometers from the Atlantic Ocean. Here, red clay–rich soils are ideal for French varieties such as Syrah and Cinsault. The estate embraces an environmentally respectful approach: no herbicides or pesticides are used, all harvesting is done by hand, and soil management focuses on plant health and biodiversity. The Mediterranean climate, moderated by the ocean’s influence, produces balanced grape ripening and complex aromatics, blending French elegance with Moroccan warmth.
Cellar Approach
In the cellar, Thalvin-Graillot combines tradition and innovation. Fermentations take place in cement vats to preserve purity, while ageing occurs in both cement and used French oak barrels to balance structure and softness. The aim is to craft wines that authentically express the local terroir while maintaining Alain Graillot’s signature style, marked by refined spice and enveloping texture. Every stage—from grape selection to fermentation control—is conducted with precision to ensure consistently high-quality wines.
Distinctive Character
Thalvin-Graillot masterfully merges French winemaking heritage with Moroccan terroir, producing intense yet elegant wines that reflect the climate and soils of the Zenata region. The project emphasizes environmental sustainability, manual work, and technical expertise, resulting in wines that embody ethical production and excellence. Thanks to this equilibrium of craft and nature, the estate stands among the most intriguing and promising realities in Morocco’s contemporary wine landscape.
