Raìca Sarraiola Rosso 2020 – The Rare Expression of Pascale
An ancient grape, a centenary vineyard
Sarraiola Rosso 2020 is made from 100% Pascale, an ancient and rare Sardinian native grape variety, cultivated in only a few hectares across the island. The grapes come from a century-old vineyard, a living heritage preserved through respectful, low-intervention viticulture.
A micro-production of great value
Harvested manually in September, only 800 bottles of Sarraiola Rosso were produced in 2020, and not every vintage is bottled. This makes it a true enological gem, expressing the uniqueness of the terroir, the vintage, and the craftsmanship of Raìca’s vineyard work.
Island elegance and authenticity
This wine showcases the freshness, minerality, and delicate aromatics that Pascale can offer. Raìca’s interpretation is elegant and authentic, aiming to preserve the voice of the land in every sip. It’s a wine for those seeking subtlety, depth, and true Sardinian character.
A wine to seek out and treasure
Produced in tiny quantities, Sarraiola Rosso 2020 is not widely available – making it all the more special. It rewards those who value patience, tradition, and regional identity, capturing the soul of the Gallura in a rare and expressive red wine.

Raìca – Winemakers in Gallura, Between Granite and Mediterranean Wildness
A Viticulture Rooted in the Land and Respect
Raìca is a wine project deeply connected to the land of Gallura, in northern Sardinia. Our agricultural vision is based on three pillars: native grape varieties, bush-trained vines, and zero chemicals or irrigation. The vines grow wild, embraced by Mediterranean biodiversity, following the natural rhythm of the seasons, in symbiosis with the soil, the climate, and local fauna.
The Stick That Supports, the Memory That Guides
The name “Raìca” comes from the traditional heather wood stick used to support young vines. A humble but meaningful tool, once crafted by Gallura’s farmers from shrubs growing on the slopes of Mount Limbara. Its wood is unique: it does not decay and lasts for decades—just like our philosophy. We don’t know where this journey will take us, but we’re enjoying every step of it with passion.
Granitic Soil and Untamed Landscape
Our vineyards grow in a mosaic of wild olive trees, lentisk, holm oaks, and myrtle, where man is just a respectful caretaker. The soil is rich in granite fragments and colored stones, composed of quartz, feldspar, and mica, giving the wines their natural acidity and structure. This unique terroir, combined with dry, windy weather, shapes the character of each bottle.
A Natural Companion
Gallura’s wild and fragrant nature is more than its beaches and turquoise waters—its inland soul is worth discovering, especially in winter and spring. While working among the vines, we’re often joined by a quiet presence: the Sardinian Marginated Tortoise, known for the “skirt” that outlines its shell. A gentle reminder of the value of time, patience, and harmony with the environment.
