LES BERMUDES BLANC 2023
Overview
Les Bermudes Blanc 2023 is a fresh and aromatic white wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Made from a blend of 50% Vermentino, 40% Grenache, and 10% Roussanne, it delivers elegance, vibrancy, and harmony. The 10-year-old vines grow on white and yellow marl soils and are cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods. Limited to 7,500 bottles, this wine reflects careful craftsmanship in every stage of vinification.
Wine History
The Les Bermudes Blanc project was designed to highlight Languedoc’s native white grapes in a balanced and refined blend. Clodéric Prade selected the best plots for each varietal to achieve a harmonious, fresh, and aromatic wine. This cuvée represents the modern, terroir-respecting style of Domaine d’Eriane, combining elegance and lightness to express the authentic character of the region.
Vineyard Philosophy
The 2.5-hectare vineyard is planted on white and yellow marl soils, with controlled density and optimal exposure. Viticulture is organic and biodynamic, emphasizing biodiversity, soil health, and optimal grape ripening. Harvesting is manual, with careful selection of clusters to ensure healthy, aromatic fruit that fully expresses freshness, elegance, and complexity.
Winemaking and Vinification
Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, with controlled fermentation to preserve freshness, aromas, and acidity. Aging is exclusively in steel, without aggressive fining, with light filtration before bottling and minimal SO2 use. The result is a transparent, elegant, and harmonious wine, faithful to the terroir, showcasing the fruity and floral notes of the white varietals.

Domaine d’Eriane – Saint-Mamert-du-Gard
History
The Domaine d’Eriane is deeply rooted in the agricultural tradition of the Prade family, who have been tied to the land for more than five generations in Saint-Mamert-du-Gard, in the heart of Languedoc. For nearly three centuries, the family cultivated vines and supplied grapes to local cooperatives. The turning point came in 2007, when Clodéric Prade decided to create an independent estate and vinify his own wines. This marked a bold new chapter, combining tradition with innovation, and gave the domaine a distinct identity. Guided by passion and a clear vision, Clodéric’s mission is to craft wines that authentically reflect their terroir while ensuring sustainability for future generations.
Philosophy in the vineyard
Clodéric Prade’s approach is firmly anchored in organic farming and agroforestry, where vines grow alongside fruit trees, almonds, walnuts, and field maples. This system fosters biodiversity, strengthens the ecosystem, and enriches vineyard soils. Trees act as shelters for birds and beneficial insects while also mitigating climate stress. Although this layout complicates tractor work and requires greater effort, the reward is grapes of higher aromatic concentration and balance. The estate believes these practices are an investment in the future, ensuring both environmental respect and outstanding fruit quality.
Winemaking approach
In the cellar, the Domaine d’Eriane follows a philosophy of minimal intervention to preserve grape integrity. Harvesting is done by hand, with strict selection to guarantee optimal ripeness. Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, at controlled temperatures, and macerations are handled with care to maintain freshness and elegance rather than power. Wines mature in a mix of stainless steel, cement, and carefully chosen oak barrels. Sulphur use is kept to a minimum, allowing the wines to remain transparent expressions of terroir, vintage, and varietal character.
Identity and style
Today, the domaine cultivates 12 hectares of vines within a 43-hectare estate, all certified organic since 2013 and farmed according to biodynamic principles. The vineyards are planted across diverse soils: old Grenache vines on hard limestone-clay soils to the northwest, Syrah and Cinsault on red clay-limestone plots exposed to the east, and white grape varieties on marl soils rich in yellow and white minerals. This mosaic of terroirs produces wines of balance, freshness, and aromatic depth. Every bottle embodies the estate’s conviction that the dialogue between vines, trees, and soil is the true essence of wine, delivering authentic and distinctive Languedoc expressions.
