Les Oliviers Côtes du Rhône 2023
A wine that reveals the true character of the Southern Rhône
Les Oliviers Côtes du Rhône 2023 is born from the collective work of the Vignerons d’Estézargues, blending carefully tended plots cultivated with deep respect for nature. Each grower contributes healthy, hand-harvested grapes to create a cuvée that embodies the genuine spirit of the Côtes du Rhône appellation. Clay, limestone and pebble soils ensure full ripeness and give the wine its generous fruit and spicy edge. This is an honest, everyday wine made to bring the convivial soul of the Rhône to the table.
Vineyard philosophy and cellar approach
The grapes come from vineyards farmed with clean, chemical-free practices, with no synthetic pesticides or herbicides. This natural mindset extends to the cellar: wild-yeast fermentations, no heavy-handed corrections, minimal sulphur. Les Oliviers 2023 blends classic Grenache and Syrah, fermented in stainless steel to preserve the freshness of the fruit and typical Rhône spice. Deep ruby red colour, the nose opens with ripe red berries, black pepper and subtle herbal hints, the palate is smooth and round, with soft tannins and a pleasantly savoury finish.

Vignerons d’Estézargues
An independent collective in the heart of the Rhône
Vignerons d’Estézargues is one of the most free-spirited and innovative cooperatives in the Rhône Valley. Founded in the late 1960s in the small village of Estézargues, near Avignon, this group of independent winegrowers has always stood out for producing wines that respect the unique identity of each grower and plot. Today, the winery brings together about ten families, all united by one core idea: enhancing the terroir, local history, and authenticity without industrial shortcuts. Far from mass production, Vignerons d’Estézargues has become a model for natural, honest winemaking, offering wines with a clear sense of place and character.
Vineyard philosophy: clean farming and zero compromise
Among the sunny hills of the Gard, the vineyards of Estézargues are managed with deep respect for nature and soil life. The vines grow on clay, limestone, and pebble soils that add structure and minerality to the wines. No synthetic pesticides or herbicides are used; biodiversity is encouraged and soil vitality preserved through sustainable farming. Pruning is meticulous, yields are kept low, and harvesting is done by hand to select only healthy, fully ripe grapes. This minimal-intervention philosophy ensures concentrated fruit full of the Rhône’s authentic personality.
In the cellar: natural vinification and single-plot cuvées
In the cellar, the approach mirrors the same respect for authenticity. Each grower’s plots are vinified separately to preserve the individuality of every cuvée. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts, with no added enzymes or chemical aids. The Vignerons believe in guiding the grapes, not correcting them: sulphur use is minimal and often absent, while the wines are bottled unfiltered and unfined. The result is honest, vibrant bottles with a rustic charm that proudly tell the story of a community of independent winegrowers staying true to their roots.
