Cinquemila Lire 2021: the fragile balance of rural memory
An old-vine white, echoing tradition
Cinquemila Lire 2021 comes from a mixed old vineyard, over 40 years old, where grapes grow together without hierarchy, just like they did in the past. Vineyard work is done by hand, with spontaneous grass cover and only minimal treatments—sulfur, copper, herbal teas. The yield is low, the fruit full of character. Every vine expresses a piece of the land, preserved and respected through natural farming.
Gentle cellar, slow rhythm
In the cellar, the same philosophy continues. The grapes—Verdello, Trebbiano Toscano, Drupeggio, Malvasia, Procanico, and a hint of Grechetto—are destemmed and left on the skins for six days in fiberglass tanks, where spontaneous fermentation occurs with native yeasts. Aging continues in demijohns and fiberglass, with a final month in stainless steel before bottling. No fining, no filtration, minimal sulfites.
A wine that speaks softly
Golden and slightly hazy, this wine has aromas of herbs, citrus peel, almonds, chamomile, and a touch of honey. The palate is bright, salty, lightly tannic, and deliciously dry. It drinks with the rhythm of the countryside—gentle but with tension, like a whisper from the past.
Service and pairings
Serve around 13–14°C in wide glasses. Ideal with filled pasta, wild herb omelettes, fresh cheeses, marinated fish, or rustic vegetable soups. A humble, soulful wine.

Every cultivated hectare, every carefully selected grape, and every bottle produced tells a story of artisanal care and deep respect for the identity of the land. Winemaking here is not just a craft, but an emotional expression born from a sincere connection with nature and time.
The bond with the land and the identity of the grapes
The strength of Riccardo Danielli’s project lies in the celebration of native grape varieties, enhanced through sustainable vineyard practices and careful vinification techniques that preserve the fruit’s integrity. The aim is to protect and interpret the purest expression of the territory, allowing each variety to reveal its true essence. This authenticity shines through in every glass, offering elegance, aromatic depth, and a genuine sense of place.
A soil that gives character and structure
Beneath this identity lies a key element: the soil. Rich in minerals and well-drained, it combines layers of clay, sand, and subtle calcareous traces, creating optimal conditions for deep root development. This diverse soil composition lends the wines a firm structure and vibrant minerality, shaping a refined and instantly recognizable style.
Innovation and sustainability with a clear purpose
Though deeply rooted in tradition, Riccardo Danielli’s vision is anything but static. The winery embraces innovation, experimenting with modern technologies and eco-conscious practices across the production process. Sustainability here is not just a value—it’s a strategic choice to ensure lasting quality and a respectful relationship with both land and consumer.
Wines that reflect a personal vision
Each Riccardo Danielli wine is a self-contained universe. Behind every label lies a pursuit of perfect balance between structure, freshness, and personality. The reds reveal intensity and depth without heaviness, the whites shine with aromatic finesse and mineral energy, while the limited selections impress with their complexity and age-worthiness. Every bottle is crafted to stir emotion and leave a lasting impression.
