A Champagne rooted in purity and precision
Quentin Beaufort Brut 2016 is a natural Champagne born from equal parts Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, cultivated biodynamically in the Côte d’Or. It is the result of meticulous vineyard work, spontaneous fermentation, and ancestral method bottle refermentation without dosage. The wine captures the soul of the vintage with tension, mineral depth, and remarkable elegance.
Vineyard philosophy and cellar approach
Each vineyard is managed with strict biodynamic principles, without chemical intervention and with great care for biodiversity and soil life. Harvest is manual, fermentation is spontaneous using only indigenous yeasts, and the second fermentation happens naturally in the bottle. Ageing on the lees lasts for 36 months before disgorgement, without added sugar. The result is a Champagne that speaks clearly of place, grape, and vintage.

Quentin Beaufort: natural elegance between Champagne and Burgundy
Quentin Beaufort is an increasingly prominent name in the world of natural wine, thanks to a production philosophy that blends precision, sensitivity, and deep environmental respect. Raised in the historic Jacques Beaufort estate, a pioneer of organic viticulture in Champagne since the 1970s, Quentin has forged his own artisanal path between southern Champagne and Burgundy.
Philosophy in the vineyard
In the heart of the Côte d’Or, in Prusly-sur-Ource, Quentin cultivates around 8.5 hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on calcareous and clay soils. The vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, with no synthetic chemicals. All work is done by hand, from pruning to harvest, with a strong focus on soil health and plant vitality.
Winemaking approach
In the cellar, Quentin Beaufort follows a truly natural style. Fermentations are spontaneous with native yeasts, and no filtering, fining, or temperature control is used. Sulfites are added minimally, only for barrel sanitation. Long lees aging and time are key to expressing the complexity of his sparkling wines, whether labeled as Champagne or Crémant de Bourgogne, often without dosage.
Territorial identity
Although Burgundy does not allow wines to be labeled as Champagne, Beaufort’s Crémant de Bourgogne offers expressive freedom. These wines share Champagne’s energy: fine bubbles, vibrant acidity, mineral depth, and clean precision. Single-vineyard and single-vintage bottlings showcase the full character of Pinot Noir grown on limestone.
Signature wines
Beaufort’s wines, such as his Champagne Blanc de Noirs and Crémant aged over 36 months, are now highly sought after. Aromas range from red berries and brioche to flint and candied citrus. On the palate, they show tension, elegance, and exceptional drive. Each bottle is a story of purity and craftsmanship.
A family tradition renewed
Quentin’s work follows in the footsteps of his father Jacques but with a personal interpretation. He represents a new generation of winemakers combining traditional savoir-faire with a modern, ecological vision—helping redefine French natural sparkling wine at the highest level.
Quentin Beaufort stands for authenticity, finesse, and deep terroir expression in every bottle.
