Bianco Valle 2022 – Granja Farm
Overview
Bianco Valle 2022 is a mountain white wine with depth and sincerity, born from stone terraces in the Susa Valley, where vines cling to the rock and breathe the crisp alpine air.
A natural wine made without added sulfites, it expresses the authentic voice of Bianchello and Baratuciat, united in a mineral and aromatic harmony. It tells the story of a resilient land where winemaking remains an act of resistance.
Origin and Philosophy
Granja Farm is a small organic estate located in Chiomonte (Turin), in the Upper Susa Valley. Here, between stones and forest, cultivation follows the rhythm of nature and the cycle of the seasons.
Every bottle is the result of minimal intervention: spontaneous fermentations, no filtration, and no chemical inputs. Bianco Valle embodies the farm’s philosophy — respect the land, protect biodiversity, and produce clean, honest, and soulful wines.
Vinification and Ageing
The Bianchello and Baratuciat grapes are hand-harvested and macerated on their skins for about two weeks in stainless steel tanks. This gives the wine both aromatic depth and structural intensity.
Fermentation takes place naturally with indigenous yeasts, without temperature control and without added sulfites. The wine then ages for several months on its fine lees before bottling, unfiltered and unclarified.
Tasting Notes
Golden-yellow and slightly hazy, Bianco Valle 2022 shows aromas of dried flowers, mountain herbs, citrus peel, almond, and wet stone.
On the palate, it is textured and mineral, with vibrant freshness, a subtle tannic grip, and a long, clean finish. A living, expressive wine that mirrors its alpine origin.
Pairings and Service
Ideal with aged goat cheeses, fatty fish, roasted vegetables, and mountain cuisine. Also pairs beautifully with spicy or fermented dishes.
Serve at 12–14°C. Drink now or cellar for 2–3 years to appreciate its evolution.

History and Geographical Context
Granja Farm was founded in 2015 in Chiomonte (Turin), in the heart of the Alta Val di Susa, by a group of people determined to care for a rugged territory at risk of destruction in the name of progress. The project began by reclaiming abandoned lands, vineyards, meadows, and gardens to produce healthy and genuine food responsibly. The Susa Valley, located west of Turin, has always been a natural route to France — from Roman times to Hannibal — and today it has tragically become a dangerous passage for migrants crossing the mountains.
Philosophy and Production Principles
The philosophy of Granja Farm is rooted in sustainability and the preservation of rural memory. The farm cultivates ancient native grape varieties on centuries-old stone terraces nestled into the mountainside, practicing agriculture without pesticides or herbicides. Every task respects the natural cycles of the land, guided by the wisdom of local elders — the last keepers of an immense agricultural heritage. For Granja Farm, farming is a political act of resistance, opposing a system that exploits both people and nature for profit.
Production and Farm Management
Beyond viticulture, Granja Farm embraces a holistic approach that includes beekeeping, goat herding, horses, and poultry, all managed through sustainable and self-sufficient practices. The main vineyards and cellar lie within the red zone of the TAV (Turin–Lyon) construction site, yet determination and perseverance have allowed them to continue producing uncontaminated fruit. The farm stands as a symbol of environmental and cultural resilience, protecting seeds, stories, and agricultural traditions handed down through generations.
Vision and Future
Granja Farm strongly rejects GMOs, TEA, and NBT/NGT technologies, defending the biodiversity and genetic heritage of its land. Its goal is to safeguard natural food production and autonomy, cultivating the earth with respect, awareness, and responsibility. Every bottle, every jar, and every product tells the story of a living resistance — a commitment to a more sustainable and conscious future.
