THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC PRODUCTS IS PROHIBITED TO MINORS. Users of the website apewineboxes.com declare that they are of legal age according to the legislation applicable to them. If there is no legislation in this regard, they must be at least 21 years old. All public prices include VAT and do not include any taxes, duties, and charges applicable in the country of destination of the products and/or services if different from Italy. These costs, which vary from country to country, are the responsibility of the Customer, who is responsible for checking the amount with the competent customs authorities. The website is updated several times a day. Shipping will always be accounted for with a regular accompanying invoice and, unless otherwise indicated by the customer, will be made available online in their personal order page (“My Orders”). Ready Delivery and Selections: The companies within the READY DELIVERY selection will never incur additional shipping costs beyond those already provided; regarding selections, individual bottles can be purchased without additional costs only in combination with other bottles of the same selection. Otherwise, shipping costs will be added for each country until the free shipping threshold is reached. More selections mean more shipments, with different delivery times as indicated on the relevant pages. If the order involves products from more than two selections, Apewineboxes reserves the right to add additional costs according to the rates listed on the aforementioned page.
The prices and vintages shown on the site are subject to possible changes and/or modifications by apewineboxes.com without any obligation to notify the Customer. These changes may depend – among other things – on decisions made by Apewineboxes suppliers. For Sales Contracts concluded before the publication of these changes but still in progress, the prices in effect at the time of the Order’s receipt will apply. If a vintage is out of stock at the time of order processing, apewineboxes.com may send the immediately following one. Product prices may vary for different vintages and formats. Extra requests outside the general transport contract (cellar service or deliveries at specific times) will be charged at the courier’s rate.
Goods travel via courier, uninsured by default, at our risk until delivery. Orders exceeding €299 are regularly insured with the carrier. The recipient, in the case of uninsured goods, must verify the contents of the packages and report, even with photographic evidence, any breakages or shortages on the receipt required by the carrier; in the case of insured goods, it is also mandatory to photograph the packaging (box in which the wine is delivered) for potential disputes with the carrier. No claims will be accepted if the issue is not noted on the delivery receipt and accompanied by the above-mentioned requirements.
Delivery by the courier will take place during regular business hours; if for any reason the recipient is absent, they must delegate a trusted person to collect the goods with the relevant information.
LEGENDARY WINES
Legendary wines come from private collections – located in Rome, Tuscany, and Puglia – which we access once a week, usually on Thursdays, and we usually ship on Mondays.
However, for some epic labels, shipping times may vary up to two weeks, sometimes even 20 days, because they require special care during transfer. Imagine an original 6-bottle OWC of Petrus; it is delicate and requires special couriers to be transported to Rome and then shipped.
We have the best wines available in our catalog, allowing you to showcase unique labels in your cellar – don’t you think it’s worth waiting a few more days?
Before proceeding with the purchase of legendary wines, contact [email protected] as they may be out of stock and the system has not updated the platform.
Therefore, in the absence of such a request for information from the potential buyer, if the purchase is made through Stripe or PayPal gateways, Apewineboxes reserves the right to refund the purchase net of the fees that these gateways impose, which will be retained by Apewineboxes.com. E.g. purchase – via Stripe or PayPal or Credit Card of La Tache 2015 Domaine Romanèe Accounts worth 10999 euros but this is exhausted, and the customer had not previously made sure to ask for availability: Apewineboxes will retain 3.5% and therefore in this case 384.97 euros reimbursing the customer of 10961.03 euros
LEGAL WARRANTY OF CONFORMITY
Products purchased on apewineboxes.com are covered by the legal warranty of conformity for goods under Art.128 et seq. of the Consumer Code. The legal warranty lasts for two years and must be claimed by the consumer within two months from discovering the defect.
Online Dispute Resolution:
Pursuant to European Union Regulation No. 524/2013, European consumers are informed that the European Commission has established an online platform providing an alternative dispute resolution tool. This tool can be used by European consumers to resolve non-judicially any dispute relating to online sales contracts for goods and services. Therefore, if you are a consumer established in Europe, you may use this platform to resolve any dispute arising from the online contract entered into on this site.
IN CASE OF DISPUTES
These General Conditions are governed by Italian law, as is each Sales Contract, and subject to Italian jurisdiction. Any dispute concerning the General Conditions or the Sales Contracts will be under the jurisdiction of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile.

Apewineboxes is not equally responsible for the contents of sites linked through referral links within Apewineboxes itself. Apewineboxes apologizes for any spelling, typing, or translation errors in the texts and disclaims any responsibility for moral or material damages resulting from these.
Defective Goods / Damaged Shipment
In case of defective goods:
- They may be returned to Apewineboxes within 14 days of delivery.
- Shipping and packaging costs for the return are borne by the customer.
- Defective goods will be replaced or refunded (if out of stock) by Apewineboxes if the defect is confirmed.
In case of damaged shipment: If you receive visibly damaged packages from Apewineboxes (broken packaging or visibly stained from leaking wine from broken bottles), you can proceed as follows:
- If there are multiple packages, refuse the damaged package to the sender, signing the carrier’s receipt “With Reservation.” We will handle the return and resend.
- If it’s a single package shipment, refuse the shipment to the sender, and we will manage the return and resend.
- Photographic evidence of the damaged goods and packaging is required.
If the damaged product is out of stock, you will be contacted for a possible replacement. If no suitable replacement is found in our catalog, Apewineboxes will refund the amount paid. Any return shipping costs are entirely borne by us.
