Agricolavinica – Le Colline di Ripa Tintilia Beat 2023
Original, vibrant and deeply rooted in its terroir, Tintilia Beat interprets Molise’s flagship native grape variety through a modern and distinctive style, combining aromatic brightness, freshness and exceptional drinkability.
Overview
Agricolavinica – Le Colline di Ripa Tintilia Beat is a red wine made exclusively from Tintilia, the native grape variety that represents one of the most authentic expressions of Molise’s winemaking heritage. The project was created to explore a different side of Tintilia, focusing on freshness, energy and immediacy without sacrificing varietal depth and character. The result is a contemporary wine that highlights fruit purity and drinkability through an original and carefully designed production method. Tintilia Beat offers an engaging tasting experience capable of expressing the identity of its territory in an innovative and surprising way.
History of the Wine
Tintilia Beat represents one of the most personal and creative interpretations of the philosophy of Agricolavinica – Le Colline di Ripa. The goal is to showcase Tintilia through an approach that emphasizes the grape’s aromatic expression and natural juiciness. The choice of a winemaking process inspired by semi-carbonic maceration allows the winery to create a wine that is immediately appealing yet far from simple, preserving both authenticity and territorial depth. The 2023 vintage perfectly embodies this vision, offering a Tintilia that is elegant, original and full of personality.
Vineyard Philosophy
The Tintilia grapes come from vineyards planted on clay-limestone soils, a combination particularly well suited to producing balanced wines with remarkable complexity. Vineyard management is focused on enhancing varietal identity and achieving healthy, perfectly ripened grapes. The characteristics of these soils contribute structure, depth and a pleasant sense of tension on the palate, all key elements in the style of Tintilia Beat. Respect for the vine’s natural cycle and the unique features of the territory allows the grapes to fully express the richness of Molise’s viticultural heritage.
Winemaking and Ageing
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed without crushing, allowing the berries to remain intact. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel using a semi-carbonic maceration technique, during which the whole berries begin fermenting without being crushed. Only halfway through fermentation are the grapes pressed, after which the must continues fermenting without the skins. This distinctive method enhances fruit purity, aromatic brightness and freshness. Once fermentation is complete, Tintilia Beat remains in stainless steel for one year, completing its evolution without any intervention that might alter its expressive purity.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Bright ruby red with vivid reflections that highlight the wine’s youthfulness and vitality.
Nose: An intriguing and captivating bouquet marked by aromas of fresh fruit and spices, woven together harmoniously to create a rich, expressive and dynamic aromatic profile.
Palate: Juicy, satisfying and effortlessly drinkable. The palate is supported by refreshing acidity that enhances the fruit character and carries a balanced progression, with soft tannins and a persistent, harmonious finish.
Food Pairings
Tintilia Beat pairs beautifully with artisanal cured meats, white meats, light roasts and traditional Italian pasta dishes. Its freshness and natural drinkability also make it an excellent companion to mixed grilled meats, semi-aged cheeses and mushroom-based recipes. The rich yet balanced aromatic profile further allows for interesting pairings with mildly spiced dishes and Mediterranean cuisine. It is a versatile wine suitable for both casual gatherings and more focused tasting occasions.
