Vin de Frantz Sauvignon 2024
The fresh soul of the Loire
Produced by Domaine Frantz Saumon, this Sauvignon Blanc comes from Montlouis-sur-Loire, just a few kilometres from Tours, in the heart of a land devoted to pure, vibrant wines. The grapes, picked at perfect ripeness, are vinified naturally, without forcing or unnecessary additives, to fully express the authenticity of the terroir.
Vineyard and cellar approach
In the vineyard, Frantz Saumon works with a natural approach, no synthetic chemicals and great care for soil vitality. In the cellar, fermentation is spontaneous, carried out in large 450-litre tonneaux with native yeasts. The wine ages on its lees in the same barrels for at least six months, developing a lively, layered character and great drinkability.
A sip that speaks Loire
The colour is bright straw yellow. The nose reveals floral notes, a subtle boisé touch and hints of fresh exotic fruit, together with a fine mineral and spicy streak. On the palate it’s fresh and savoury, agile and lively. Perfect with fish-based first courses, it’s a wine to open with no second thoughts.

Domaine Frantz Saumon – Montlouis-sur-Loire, Loire
A spark along the Loire
Before becoming a winemaker, Frantz Saumon spent his life close to nature: he worked as a forest ranger both in Canada and in France, learning to understand the landscape and respect its rhythms. Then, in 2001, a spark struck him on the road to Montlouis-sur-Loire: Frantz decided to buy a small 3-hectare vineyard, laying the foundations for what would become one of the Loire’s most exciting domaines.
A natural approach in the vineyard
Over the years, Frantz Saumon has built a strong reputation thanks to a natural, low-intervention farming philosophy. The estate’s surface has doubled to 6 hectares, farmed with meticulous care, without synthetic chemicals and with maximum respect for the biodiversity of each plot. The vineyards, nestled in the heart of Montlouis-sur-Loire, rest on soils rich in clay, limestone and flint, perfect for highlighting the freshness of local grape varieties.
In the cellar: purity and minimal intervention
In the cellar, Frantz Saumon stays true to the same ethos: minimal interference, spontaneous fermentations with native yeasts and no unnecessary additions. The result is wines of great purity and precision, true liquid portraits of the Loire. Harvest after harvest, Frantz has honed a style that makes him a benchmark for those seeking natural wines that are clean, vibrant and deeply terroir-driven.
