The story of Utopia
The wine was born from the hand harvest carried out on August 22nd and 27th, 2022. Grapes were collected in 10 kg crates to preserve their freshness and integrity. By choosing Moscato Nero as the exclusive grape, ValdiSole created an ambitious and experimental project. Utopia 2022 expresses the winery’s vision of reinterpreting tradition through natural and respectful techniques.
Philosophy in the vineyard
The vineyards are farmed without synthetic chemicals, following organic and biodynamic practices. Each vine is carefully managed to maintain a natural balance and produce healthy grapes. This approach ensures excellent fruit quality, able to withstand long maceration and transfer authentic aromas and personality to the final wine.
Approach in the winery
Vinification takes place with spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The 8-month skin maceration gives the wine its intense color, strong structure, and aromatic depth. Utopia is unfiltered, with only a minimal addition of sulfur dioxide (20 mg/L) at bottling. The result is a pure, genuine wine, faithful to its grape origin.

History
Founded in 2015 on the Roero hills in Corneliano d’Alba, in the heart of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, ValdiSole Winery is located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The winery began with a small abandoned Nebbiolo vineyard purchased online and has gradually expanded with both young and old vines. All vineyards are situated in the DOCG Roero area, primarily in the Valdistefano denomination, ensuring high-quality grapes and a strong connection to the territory.

ValdiSole follows strict natural practices, without synthetic chemicals or enological forcing. The winery’s philosophy emphasizes authenticity and essentiality, using only the grape as the core ingredient. Wines are produced in a style that blends regional tradition with innovative techniques adapted from other parts of the world, resulting in distinctive aromas, colors, and profiles.
Wine Characteristics

Production and Methods
Grapes used for orange wines and other ValdiSole labels are carefully selected from minimally treated vineyards. Skin contact maceration and aging in selected vessels (stainless steel, cement, or clay amphorae) ensure wines that are intense, long-lasting, and faithful to both nature and terroir.
