Suolo Liquido 2022 – Tenuta l’Armonia LAB
A deep experiment in soil, memory, and matter
Suolo Liquido is not just a wine—it’s a liquid project born from the purest form of experimentation at Tenuta l’Armonia LAB. The 2022 vintage is made from old-vine Syrah planted 58 years ago in Nanto, Vicenza. It’s a wine created to tell the story of the connection between plant and soil, time and craft, tradition and transformation. Every step in the process is designed to preserve this connection, translating it into a wine that is essential, contemplative, and precise. It speaks quietly, yet with great depth.
One single vineyard, old and expressive
This Syrah comes from a single, historic parcel located in the volcanic soils of the Colli Berici. The vines are cultivated organically, with a strong focus on soil vitality and regenerative balance. Low yields from these 58-year-old vines allow for natural concentration and complexity. The harvest is manual and selective, preserving freshness and energy. Syrah from this site offers an atypical profile—herbal, saline, and balsamic—echoing the warm, dry microclimate of the Nanto area.
Ancestral methods and amphora fermentation
After destemming, the grapes undergo a 15% saignée, concentrating the must. The fermentation takes place in Spanish amphora, with two months of skin contact, no temperature control, and no additives. After pressing, the wine is aged for six months in fifth-use tonneaux, which provide gentle oxygenation without flavor transfer. Finally, a 15% portion of the earlier saignée, aged separately in Demetra amphora, is blended back in. The result is a Syrah that is fluid and pure, yet textured and complex.
Tasting notes
Color: Deep ruby red with dark violet highlights and rich viscosity.
Nose: Herbal and wild, with aromas of resin, black pepper, Mediterranean scrub, and graphite.
Palate: Dense, layered, saline, with a full but weightless structure and a long, vertical finish.
Food pairings and identity
Suolo Liquido is a contemplative wine, ideal for thoughtful cuisine: braised meats, herb-crusted lamb, spiced tagines, aged cheeses, or mushroom-based dishes. It should be served at 16–18°C, preferably after brief aeration. This wine goes beyond classic pairings and seeks dishes that share its depth, umami, and aromatic complexity. Best enjoyed with focus and patience.

Tenuta l’Armonia – History
The story of Tenuta l’Armonia began in 2010 on the volcanic hills of Vicenza, in Contrà Scaranto. Founded by Andrea Pedrin, a self-taught “Wine Chef” trained between France and Italy, the winery was born from the desire to unite agriculture, culture, and creativity. From the start, Andrea focused on native grape varieties grown on volcanic soils, aiming to express each terroir through unique blends and cuvées. A young and dynamic team supports him, helping shape an evolving approach that combines local tradition and innovation.
Vineyard Philosophy
Tenuta l’Armonia practices organic and regenerative agriculture, completely free of synthetic chemicals. Some vines are up to 35–40 years old and grow on three distinct types of volcanic soil. Native grape varieties are at the core of the project, enhancing the authenticity of each wine. In the vineyard, all interventions respect natural rhythms and promote harmony between soil and plant. This sustainable vision ensures the long-term health of the vines and the expressive character of the wines.
Winemaking Approach
In the cellar, Tenuta l’Armonia follows a fully artisanal and natural approach. No selected yeasts, fining agents, or stabilizers are used. Sulfites are kept to a minimum and only added when absolutely necessary. The winemaking process is designed to preserve energy, freshness, and balance. The winery experiments with different vessels—amphorae, large barrels, concrete tanks, and wood—to achieve expressive, site-driven wines. Each vintage is handled differently to reflect the uniqueness of the season and the vineyard.
Vision & Territory
The volcanic soils of Montecchio Maggiore offer rare geological features that profoundly shape the vines and the wines. Tenuta l’Armonia seeks to express this uniqueness by working closely with native grapes and allowing the territory to speak for itself. Andrea has also developed an integrated agricultural project, which includes 10 hectares of olive groves and vegetable gardens. The estate regularly hosts workshops that connect gastronomy, wine, and artisanal farming. Living “in harmony” here means creating social, cultural, and environmental value through wine.
