Sankt Sankt Sankt Laurent
The wine comes from vineyards located in Kreuthern, on clay-limestone soils. The ripe grapes are harvested in mid-September, destemmed, and fermented in large oak containers with about 10 days of maceration. After pressing, the wine matures in 300-liter oak barrels in the old natural loess cellar at a constant temperature of 14°C. The result is a meaty and juicy wine with a raw and vibrant character. On the nose, notes of black tea, herbs, and dark fruits emerge. It pairs perfectly with red meat and roasted vegetables.

Hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented with native yeasts, 10-day maceration on the skins, and aged in large oak barrels for about six months.
On the nose, the wine opens with a complex and captivating bouquet, revealing notes of black tea, aromatic herbs, and dark fruits like ripe plums and blackberries, creating an enveloping and deep aroma.
On the palate, it is meaty and juicy, with a vibrant structure that carries a raw and wild sensation. Dark fruit is accompanied by a hint of spice, while well-balanced acidity and soft tannins lend elegance and persistence to the sip. A powerful yet refined wine that leaves a long and satisfying impression.

Loidesthal, Weinviertel
The siblings Mathias, Viktoria, and Leonhard Schödl, children of a viticulture teacher, have turned their passion for vineyards into a real business since 2017. After gaining international experience (including at Matassa and Testalonga in South Africa), they adopted an approach based on organic farming and biodiversity. Located in the Weinviertel, northeast of Vienna, the winery operates in a hilly area with diverse soils (loess, clay, rock) and a continental climate that gives the wines freshness and purity.
The family’s passion for sparkling wines, inspired by Champagne, is evident in their winemaking: long aging on the lees, the méthode traditionnelle, and artisanal techniques. Weingut Schödl is an exciting and emerging name in the wine scene.
