Bosco Falconeria Rosato 2022: Fresh and Mineral Sicilian Rosé
Wine Overview
The Rosato 2022 from Bosco Falconeria is an elegant and fresh rosé, perfect for those seeking an authentic Sicilian wine. Made from 100% Nero d’Avola, it reveals delicate aromas of red fruits and floral hints, with a pleasant acidity and mineral freshness. Ideal for aperitifs or light meals, this wine contains sulfites and reflects the winery’s organic philosophy, highlighting the volcanic terroir of Partinico.
Wine History
The 2022 Rosato is the result of Bosco Falconeria’s experience in enhancing native Sicilian grapes. Traditional vinification in steel and 24-hour skin maceration preserve the natural aromas of Nero d’Avola, creating a fresh and approachable rosé. No filtration or fining is applied, ensuring authenticity and natural character.
Vineyard Philosophy
The Nero d’Avola grapes come from vineyards at 250 meters above sea level on volcanic soil in Bosco Falconeria, Partinico. Harvest occurs in the second decade of September, selecting healthy, fully ripe bunches. Organic vineyard management ensures respect for the soil, sustainability, and the fullest expression of the Sicilian terroir.
Winemaking Approach
Vinification of the Rosato 2022 takes place in stainless steel with spontaneous fermentation and 24-hour maceration on the skins. Aging lasts 6 months in steel, without added sulfites, filtration, or fining, preserving freshness, delicate aromas, and a light structure. The result is a balanced, mineral rosé, ideal for early consumption.

Bosco Falconeria: Tradition and Innovation in the Heart of Sicily
Winery History
Bosco Falconeria is located 60 km from Palermo, on the gentle hills overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare. Founded in 1933 as a small 12-hectare winery, it featured seven wine presses and employed up to thirty people during harvest. Family events, the agricultural crisis, and the 1968 earthquake led to a temporary abandonment. In the 1970s, the winery was renovated as a summer retreat, marking the beginning of a new productive era.
Vineyard Philosophy
The agricultural philosophy of Bosco Falconeria is based on respect for nature and sustainability. Since the 1980s, thanks to Antonio Simeti’s dedication and Mary Taylor Simeti’s curiosity, the winery has explored organic farming practices, anticipating trends that are now essential. The return to productive cultivation was not only a gesture of passion but a concrete commitment to preserve the land, with vineyards and diversified crops now covering almost 17 hectares.
Winery Approach
At Bosco Falconeria, tradition meets innovation. Grape processing follows techniques that respect the fruit and the environment, favoring natural fermentation and minimal intervention, always focused on quality and wine integrity. The winery is a place where history merges with modern experience, and every step, from vinification to bottling, reflects an organic and sustainable approach.
The Family Today
Today, Bosco Falconeria is a family-run winery, with Natalia and her husband Rami managing operations. Erissa and Besnik, originally from Albania, together with Saverio, form the operational core of the winery, keeping tradition alive while promoting agricultural innovation. The winery represents a perfect balance between historical roots and a forward-looking vision, continuing to produce high-quality organic wines.
