Rigomale 2023
Vineyard philosophy
Rigomale means “stream” — but in the bottle, it’s a white wine that flows between opposites.
Winemaking
From mixed soils of schist, sandstone, rhyolite, sand and clay, at 150–600 m a.s.l.
Trebbiano (60%) is split: half is direct-pressed and fermented in concrete, half undergoes 4 months of skin maceration in amphora, with daily pumpovers and manual punch-downs.
Malvasia (40%), zesty and bright, is whole-cluster pressed and fermented in concrete. After blending, the wine rests 2 months in concrete before bottling.
Tasting notes
Unconventional and balanced — ripe fruit, texture, saline drive and a fresh finish that begs for another glass.

Forestieri: The story of an authentic Maremma
The birth of Forestieri
“At the bar, they call you a foreigner if you weren’t born and raised here, in Roccatederighi.” This is how Dario Marinari, from Pisa, and Ezequiel Allassia, from Argentina, describe the origin of their unique project in the heart of Alta Maremma, a high-hill area protected by UNESCO in the Metalliferous Hills Park. Here, far from the classic Maremma landscapes lined with cypress avenues, there are only dirt roads winding through Mediterranean scrub up to chestnut woods, on a geologically diverse terrain ranging from volcanic rocks to sandstone, galestro, and clay.
Vineyard philosophy
Forestieri is born from a wild and varied terroir, far from industrial viticulture. The vineyards, located between 150 and almost 600 meters above sea level, are cultivated with an ancient mixed planting method where different grape varieties grow side by side in the same row. On about 5 hectares grow Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Malvasia Bianca Toscana, Ciliegiolo, Malvasia Nera, Alicante Nero, Moscato, and other rare native varieties, all managed with one principle: no chemicals, neither in the vineyard nor in the cellar.
Winery approach
The winemaking at Forestieri follows the same ethical line as the vineyard: fermentations happen spontaneously, using only the indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grapes. The only addition is a tiny amount of sulfur before bottling, to preserve the wine’s integrity and longevity. This approach results in authentic wines, a pure expression of a challenging and unconventional territory, made for those seeking true, natural flavors far from industrial compromises.
Forestieri represents a timeless Maremma, with artisanal wines that are vibrant, fresh, and full of personality, capable of telling the complex story of a unique and little-known landscape.
