Belemnita Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2008, Chardonnay
Seexclusive lesson, made with Chardonnay Grand Cru grapes coming from the company’s own vineyards in Mesnil-sur-Oger, of which in span>partly planted way back in 1929, it is an extremely demanding harvest carried out with the maximum selection of grapes from a unique terroir. This cuvèe owes its name to the fossils, the belemnita beaks present in the chalky soil of Mesnil – sur – Oger (in Latin Belemnita quadrata) sediments of the Tertiary era. This champagne rests for a minimum of 6 years in the cellars at a constant temperature (12°), it is not dosed in the degorgement and therefore it is an extra brut product, in order to enhance its natural characteristics. Produced only in exceptional vintages, this cuvée represents the unique interpretation of the best parcels of the Mesnil – sur – Oger vineyards .
