We clearly remember the first time we tasted a pet nat from Matija, we immediately renamed it the Slovenian King of refermented products.

Matija Zerjav, known as Matic, is a young and talented producer who represents the third generation of family winemakers, we are in the Štajerska region, in Slovenian Styria.

The winters here are harsh with large temperature variations which guarantee freshness of the grapes, the soil is rich in marl, so the plants have to dig deeply to find nourishment, and as Antonio says, when the vine suffers, it gives the best of itself .

Matic is a company that extends over 9 hectares, all biodynamically managed, where it produces Furmint in all its variations, Kerner, Pinot Grigio and some international ones.
