Drazen Zanchi’s story is one we like to tell, not very different from that of many of our winemakers. It closely resembles that of Manuel Di Vecchie of Vinyer de la Ruca.
Both professors, both with wine in their blood.
Drazen taught in Paris before life gave him a small family vineyard.
From that moment he decides to give up everything and return to his home in Croatia.
The winery’s idea of wine is absolutely natural and respectful of the territory. Biodynamic viticulture in the cellar, little interview in the cellar, where fermentations take place spontaneously using native yeasts, additions of sulfur dioxide, clarifications and filtrations are not contemplated.
We can summarize Drazen wines as products with Croatian character and French style, powerful and refined.
