Overview
Curami 2022 is the natural rosé from Cantina Duilio, crafted from a unique blend of Sangiovese, Trebbiano Rosa, and Malvasia. Fresh, vibrant, and luminous, it captures the volcanic soul of Campagnano di Roma through spontaneous fermentations and the total absence of added sulfites. Vinified in stainless steel and fiberglass, it offers both purity and energy, delivering a genuine taste of Lazio’s terroir.
Wine History
The Curami 2022 project was born to create a rosé that reflects authenticity and local identity. By blending native varieties such as Trebbiano Rosa and Malvasia with Sangiovese, the wine achieves a unique and distinctive character. The 2022 vintage provided perfectly ripened grapes, resulting in a fresh and expressive rosé. The name “Curami” means “take care of me,” a reference to the passion and dedication that Stefano and Irma bring to every bottle.
Vineyard Philosophy
The vineyards are farmed with respect for biodiversity and natural balance. No chemicals are used; only essential practices to preserve the vitality of the volcanic soils of Campagnano and Trevignano. Surrounded by woods and fields, the vines benefit from a favorable microclimate and manual harvest ensures that only the best grapes reach the cellar.
Winemaking Approach
In the cellar, Curami 2022 follows natural winemaking principles: spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts, no filtration or clarification, and zero added sulfites. The wine is vinified in stainless steel and fiberglass tanks, which preserve its freshness and aromatic purity. After a few months of aging, the result is a lively, transparent rosé that fully expresses the character of its grapes.

Cantina Duilio: the heart of natural wine in Campagnano di Roma
History
Cantina Duilio is a young winery born from the passion and courage of Stefano and Irma, a couple who chose to invest in the territory of Campagnano di Roma and Trevignano. Their goal was clear from the beginning: to enhance an extraordinary landscape and restore its dignity through authentic wines without compromises. The estate lies between the Treja River and the Sorbo Park, on a plateau overlooking the surrounding panorama. Small-scale and artisanal, yet with a great vision: to produce natural wines that are the pure reflection of volcanic soil and the rural traditions of Lazio.
Philosophy in the Vineyard
Work in the vineyard follows principles of biodiversity and absolute respect for nature. No chemicals, no invasive interventions: vines are cultivated without herbicides or pesticides, allowing the soil’s natural cycle to thrive. Fermentations are spontaneous, with indigenous yeasts, and the winery avoids clarifications or filtrations. Equally important is the decision not to add sulphur dioxide (SO₂), ensuring each bottle tells the true story of the land. This uncompromising approach reflects Stefano and Irma’s desire to preserve the vitality of the grapes and the authenticity of the wine.
Approach in the Cellar
Production takes place in the historic center of Campagnano, inside ancient tuff caves that have been used for centuries for winemaking and ageing. In this naturally cool and humid environment, wines rest and mature without external interventions, following a slow and natural rhythm. Vinification is carried out without additives or manipulation: the result is living, dynamic wines that retain all the nuances of grape and soil. Every bottle is the outcome of artisanal care and direct commitment by the winemakers.
Territory and Style
The terroir of Campagnano and Trevignano is unique: it includes the Valle del Baccano, an ancient volcanic crater that belongs to the Sabatine hill area. Volcanic soils, rich in minerals and nutrients, give the grapes depth and a marked mineral component. The plateau where the vineyards are located, surrounded by wooded hills, creates a fresh and ventilated microclimate that ensures balanced ripening. Duilio’s wines have a distinctive style: fresh, direct, approachable, with great drinkability and a character that reflects their volcanic and natural origins.
