Battibaleno 2022: ancestral light in a contemporary gesture
A white wine that speaks the language of the land
Battibaleno 2022 is a wine born from a precise idea: to return truth to the fruit, without intermediaries. In the vineyard, the work is essential, with minimal interventions and great attention to natural balance. No herbicides, only treatments with copper and sulfur, spontaneous cover crops, and low yields. The approach is agricultural, direct, without aesthetic concessions: the grapes are hand-harvested in small crates, choosing only healthy, ripe bunches to give voice to the land without filters.
In the cellar: time and matter
The production philosophy is based on the utmost respect for the raw material. The Trebbiano grapes, harvested at the end of August and the beginning of September, are destemmed and left to macerate on the skins for 60 days in open vats, without temperature control. No added yeasts or additives: fermentation occurs spontaneously, with the skins guiding the rhythm of the wine. After pressing, the wine ages for six months in clay amphorae, where it naturally clarifies, before being bottled without filtration.
The gentle power of Trebbiano
Battibaleno doesn’t seek impact but depth. The color is golden, veiled, alive. The nose slowly unfolds, with notes of herbal infusion, chamomile, cedar peel, dried apricot, and a salty finish. On the palate, it is textured but tense, with light tannins and a saline freshness that lengthens the finish. It’s a white wine that surprises with its complexity, capable of accompanying thought, but also of pairing perfectly with food.
Serving and pairings
Served around 14°C, Battibaleno 2022 expresses its best with intense yet elegant dishes: grilled shellfish, spiced white meats, aged cheeses, mushroom risottos, or oriental preparations like vegetable ramen. A gastronomic wine with a strong identity, it invites dialogue and contemplation.

A soil that gives character and structure
Beneath this identity lies a key element: the soil.
