Barolo Serralunga is a great red wine produced by Ferdinando Principiano in Monforte d’Alba, in the Langhe. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the Boscareto and Liriano Crus, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts for about a month, then aging for 2 years in large barrels, before finishing in the bottle. Enthralling finesse and elegance show an almost “everyday” side of this Barolo that we find simply bewitching. It is an absolute tribute to classicism and typicality, of extraordinary drinkability

The grapes come from vineyards located for 4 hectares in the Cru Boscareto and 1 hectare in that of Lirano. Fermentation and maceration for about 30 days, then refined for 24 months in large barrels first and finally in bottle
A riot of aromas on the nose: Rose and Violet, small ripe red fruits and undergrowth, earth and wet leaves, powerful returns of Truffle, Black Pepper and Cocoa, hints of Hazelnut and finally distinctly mineral notes
Full and with great structure, tremendously fresh for a Barolo and with a truly noble tannin, elegant, engaging and long on the finish

Ferdinando Principiano was born and raised among the family vineyards, at just 45 years old he already has over 25 harvests under his belt and enormous experience: as a former modernist of Barolo, he is today one of the most solid for reasoned viticulture in the Langa.
In his eyes we saw the Cavese spirit clearly reflected, the entire range of wines is a succession of shots to the heart: from the bubbles with the SoloUva Method to the Timorasso grown in Alta Langa and then arriving at all the classic reds of the Langhe, treated with equal dignity from Dolcetto to Barolo.
